"With Ration-it, our child knows the limits and accepts them."

After purchasing Ration-it, you will have received an email containing a licence key. You now need an activation code - follow the instructions below.

First, go to the Ration-it activation dialog. This is displayed when Ration-it first starts - for example when you turn on your PC. However, if Ration-it is already running, follow these steps:

(1) Display the Ration-it activation dialog as follows:

re-start your PC and login as normal (you should be owner or administrator)

or, if you are already logged in as the owner or administrator
re-start Ration-it as follows:
- display the Ration-it admin screen (click the system icon)
- enter the password ("password" in demo mode) and click the Login button
- click the "Shutdown Ration-it" button
- re-start Ration-it from the Start->Programs->Ration-it->Ration-it menu
You should see a dialog like this:

(2) Type the licence key into the first field of the dialog and click the "Show challenge code" button. A challenge code will be displayed beside the button.

(3) Copy both the licence key and the challenge code from the dialog into the corresponding fields below:

Enter your licence key (this will have been provided in the email you received when you purchased Ration-it)
Enter the challenge code (you get the challenge code in the Ration-it activation dialog)
Your email address

Once you have an activation code, please enter it into the "Activation code" input field on the Ration-it activation dialog and then click the Activate button.

PLEASE NOTE: After installing Ration-it, the initial password is set to "password".

Each purchased copy of Ration-it should be used on only one PC. All activation requests are closely monitored.
